Wide Body vs Street Kit: Which Should You Choose?

When it comes to giving your car a wider, lower stance, body kits are the ultimate upgrade. However, choosing between a full-width track extension (Widebody Kit) and a clean front lip/skirt combo (Street Kit) is a critical decision that depends heavily on how you plan to drive your car.

The Street Kit: Restrained Precision

Street kits (consisting of a front splitter, low-profile side skirts, and a rear bumper diffuser) are designed to attach cleanly onto the stock body panels. They are excellent for daily drivers in Chennai, lowering the visual profile of the car by 1–2 inches without affecting critical ground clearance or requiring major metalwork.

The Widebody Kit: Uncompromising Stance

A Widebody Kit extends the actual width of the fenders to fit massive, deep-dish alloy wheels. This requires fender flare arches, cutting/rolling the original wheelwells, and heavy structural modifications. The result is an aggressive, supercar-like stance that completely dominates visual space, though it requires careful navigation over high speed bumps.
